Cool Thursday

My Words, So this is Thursday, and what have you done, another day over and an evening begun,

My Fluffy is fine, took her out to see the world, men were trimming trees around our apartment building, they cleaned up the trees, and left a mess of twigs and sawdust on the ground.

Went to the library, I am reading books written by Ian Rankin and finding them a good read. I also picked up some craft books. I like to study them, I like crafts and learning about new techniques and to see what work others have done is good inspiration.

Brenda, the nurse, gave Mom her discharge. Mom's wound is almost healed and no longer needs a bandage. Brenda is a cheerful person. I shared with her some quotes that I had recieved from friends and made her laugh.

I had a nap and feel more rested this evening.

Mild Saturday

My Words, No date again to-night. I remember when it was awful to have no date on a Saturday night and now, what's so big about a Saturday date. Today was a good day, had company from Diane, who arrived about 9:30, stayed for lunch and left about one. Then Marc and Ginnette dropped by. They had been to the island to use their snowshoes. There is not a deep base of snow, the snow has melted in the warmer temperatures that we have been having, so the ground was not great for snowshoes.

Marc and Gin were talking about their coming vacation, they are going on a Caribbean cruise. I lent Marc the camera that he had given me for Christmas in 2003. I had bought a memory card with more capacity, and included batteries and the original memory card. With all that he should be fine.

Mom's wound is getting better, the nurse should be giving her a discharge, perhaps as soon as next week. Her leg is almost healed.

Fluffy is fine, she does need a bath and to have her nails clipped. Adieu.

Warm February day

My Words,I did someting very stupid today. I had a bag of garbage in one hand and some letters to mail in the other and you know what happened. Yes, I threw the letters in the chute. Went down to the janitor and with his help retrieved the letters. Clumsy and thoughtless, that is I.

Took the dog for a walk, had visitors today. First Father G came to visit Mama, then the nurse came to dress her wound on her leg, Mama fell about 10 days ago and hit her leg on the bathtub. Her skin is so thin, that it split and so the wound.

Then in the afternoon, Ginette came by to cut our hair. Mine was getting so long, it looks better short. My youngest brother is to come to lunch tomorrow, and I have some lasagna for the meal. I suppose that it will be a short visit. He is so busy, that he rushes through life, and does not take the time to smell the flowers.

Yesterday, Mom and I went out for lunch, then went to the Home Depot. A branch recently opened in our town. Mom bought some new shades for our living room lamps. Now they look good, my sister had bought the one that we had, they were blue, the new ones are a brown, beige colour, a better fit with the lamp base.
