Spring is Here

Sunshine, tulips, squirrels and all the other wonderful signs of spring are here and oh so welcomed. My Mom is feeling fine, she has recovered from the small dog incident. This small dog tried to climb into her lap and scratched her leg very badly.

I have been reading of the recent report in the Cornwall news, that mentions the troubles in this city. One of the problems seem to be the level of education in the population, the stats about teenage mothers and the loss of jobs. All this is discouraging. I had chosen this city to live because of its proximity to Mom's summer cottage and I have found friends here.

I took my dog Fluffy to the groomers, and now, I should call her Fuzzy as all her long hair is gone. But she smells better, after her shower, shave and shampoo.

It has been a hard day, Mama was sick, and it took a lot of effort to keep her tidy and clean. I have a lot of linen to wash. To-night, she is better and I hope she has a peaceful night.

It rained a little today, not a good day to walk the dog. Fluffy came in damp and dogs smell when wet.

Shopping

On Fridays, I go to Curves for exercise, then get groceries and then do the errands. Well to=day followed the pattern. But I did go to a different place for lunch, a pub, and the fish and chips was good, may go again.
I saw geese to-day. I propose to take my Mama for a car ride to the island, and then go out for lunch.

NO Squirrels today

I know it is now spring, but I see so little sign of it yet- though I did see some geese. It is so cold and I have had a cold. I am tired so it is just a short note tonight. Adieu.

Vist with MD

I saw my doctor today, I had a fall on Feb 24th, hurt my shoulder, had x rays, but no diagnosis. So today he tell me that I have injured a muscle in my shoulder, no bones broken. Gave me so anti-inflamatory medication, some exercises to do and counseled patience.
I was ill last night, losing my supper and waking up in the night to finish the job. Had oatmeal for breakfast, but felt very uncomfortable. After the doctor visit, I went to the pharmacy to fill his prescription and pick up Mama's. I had to wait for 20 minutes, so went to get a coffee and a doughnut. When I got home, the coffee and doughnut came up. For supper, I had dry toast and tea. Hope I feel better tomorrow.

This day - I have been long away from this site and I want to say that Mama is fine and so is the Fluffy.
I went for exercise and a few errands. It is very windy and I even saw a few snow flakes.

My Words, Oh, it has been a good while since I did this, that is, write my words down for all to see. My Mom is still with me and in good health, Fluffy, my dog, is fine as well.
I have been for exercise today, it is so very windy. I saw some snow flakes blowing round and it make me feel cold. I hurried home to get a nice cup of tea and check my mail.

Saturday Garage Sale Day,

My Words,Mom turned 91 on the 17th of this month. We ended up with 2 Birthday cakes, I had bought one and our friends from cottage 12 came with a cake as well. We are now at the cottage on the island and the view of the St Lawrence Seaway is magnificent as usual.
It was easier to go to the cottage as it it just 20 minutes from our apartment in Cornwall, so this time it was a breeze. Mom is happy, to look at the wildlife, ( we have picture windows) to sit on the balcony and to hear the rain on the roof.
